Job Purpose:
As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to prepare and cook a variety of Mediterranean dishes, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and presented in an appealing manner..
Key duties :
- Assisting in menu planning and creating new dishes that showcase the flavors and ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, and desserts.
- Ensuring that all food is prepared and presented according to company standards and recipes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring that they follow proper cooking techniques and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our guests.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef or Assistant Chef, with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.
